WHO AM I? // WHO ARE WE? How do we identify ourselves? How does our identity connect us to others?
As artists, our expression is rooted in our identity such that who we are affect how we see. Understanding the “Who” requires acknowledging our past before it can help us inform our future. This project about identity dives into my own cultural roots and personal history and how that has shaped my person and the photographs I make. As much as the concept of identity is enigmatic and complex, I am sure of this - identity is ever evolving and never defined by only one noun.
