Kristine about Felicia

I wanted to know Felicia the minute I saw her photos. There was something about how she saw the world that made me instantly curious to learn more about what made her see that way. It was like a silent conversation I was having with the subjects of her photographs, it felt like I was privy to something secret and public at the same time. As I got to know Felicia more I learned about how she greets the world. How she carefully enters a space with grace and dignity, with curiosity, reflection, and an open heart. Her sensitivity is one of the reasons her work spoke to me. She sees people and understands how to translate that into photographs so that the viewers feel they were there too.

Felicia about Kristine

Kristine may be a Norwegian native living in Ottawa, Canada, but her identity is a confluence of her nomadic tendencies, photojournalist experiences, and motherhood, armed with a barrel of laughs. She oscillates between the pursuit and sharing of knowledge, and always seeks to satisfy her curiosity with steadfast inquiry and an open mind. Her photography goes beyond the confines of the frame, and if you look closely, you can feel her fibres of honesty, pragmatism, and generosity weaving through them. To her, photographs are opportunities to have visual, verbal, and written conversations. If you have ever encountered her, you would agree. And the best part? She will always meet you where you are at.
